In November, Microsoft's Xbox Series X will be released. However, it could turn out to be considerably more expensive than we had previously assumed. The Xbox Series X price could be a real shock.
How much will the Xbox Series X cost when it releases in November 2020? After Microsoft has at least narrowed down the release month, an insider is now providing information about the price of the next-gen console. However, it turns out to be higher than we expected.
Xbox Series X Price - $599?
In just under two weeks, Microsoft is rumored to officially announce the price of the Xbox Series X and finally unveil the smaller next-gen console Xbox Series S. But even before that, an insider has already drawn attention to apparent price leaks.
As gaming journalist and podcaster Alanah Pearce revealed in the latest Kinda Funny Xcast, an insider from the trade has contacted her via Twitter direct message and sent her a picture of an exhibitor unveiling the Xbox Series X price:
Pearce didn't show the picture, but allegedly it does mention a price tag of $599.

That would be around $100 more than the PlayStation 5 is supposed to cost. On the other hand, the price of the Xbox Series X seems much more realistic in view of the technology built into it, considering that a 1 TB NVMe SSD hard drive alone costs roughly $150.
We'll have to wait a little longer until Microsoft officially unveils the final price of the Xbox Series X. Personally, we consider $599 for the next-gen console to be quite realistic, though.
