League of Legends continues with the tradition of releasing patch notes on a Thursday, but fear not! EarlyGame has the important parts of the patch to bring you up to speed.

Volibear's complete rework will finally be making its way to Summoner's Rift in Patch 10.11! We've got the best build covered for him, so go onwards and destroy your enemies.

The battle-spirit of the Freljord arrives with more lightning and savage claws in 10.11!"

Notable buffs

Patch 10.11 has a handful of champions that were buffed which include:

  • Fiddlesticks
  • Gangplank
  • Hecarim
  • Kai'Sa
  • Lux
"Adding what feels like a natural mechanic to Fiddlestick's Q passive to enforce his identity as the scariest scarecrow, while adding some general spookiness to boot"

Out of all of those, Kai'Sa, Hecarim & Gangplank are a must pick for their respective roles in Patch 10.11. The coolest change is to Fiddlesticks and his Q, Terrify, which now allows Fiddlesticks to Terrify enemies if cast while he is posing as an effigy, making Fiddlesticks even spookier on Summoner's Rift.

"Giving Gangplank a bump in his AS so that he can play around faster barrel combos and potentially shoot for a Zeal item instead of other AD items—meaning more crits, more explosions, and more scraps while in melee range"

The changes to Gangplank's attack speed from 0.658 > 0.69 in Patch 10.11 will mean faster barrel combos while also opening him up for a new item selection, Zeal, to give his kit more crit and making him hit much harder. The catch here is that Riot Games finally fixed the bug where Gangplank's barrels no longer stack attack bonus Sheen damage when chained, so no more OP damage in the late game.

An easy tip here would be to build Gankgplank around attack speed while maximizing his late-game damage potential to ensure tons of damage.

"Despite us making him more menacing in 10.6, Hecarim is still underwhelming at almost all levels of play"

Now here's a champion we've not seen on the buffed list in a long time. Hecarim's Q, Rampage, has seen its overall base damage increased from 55/95/135/175/215 to 60/102/144/186/228. What does this mean? Well, as you normally would take his Q when starting in the Jungle, this will allow more damage output for clearing waves and making plays.

Notable nerfs

Riot Games has nerfed a few champions for Patch 10.11 who include:

  • Graves
  • Janna
  • Syndra
  • Talon

Graves is quite literally seeing the end of the line, with his Q, end of the line being reduced significantly, forcing Riot's hand to scale back the overall Lethality-based power he was putting out, especially during the EarlyGame. The reduction from 1.0 bonus attack damage to now 0.8 bonus attack damage will significantly impact his appearance in Summoner's Rift, but it's not drastic enough to affect higher levels of play.

Do you not enjoy being blown up in the middle lane of Summoner's Rift? Well, rejoice! As Riot Games has nerfed Talon's Q, Noxian Diplomacy, increasing the cost of mana, and reducing the amount of healing Talon gets if he kills with it. Right now, Talon has kept his cool in higher Elo ranks, so much so that players were beginning to get annoyed playing against it all the time. It's nice to see Riot reducing his sustain a little so players can actually play against him.

Marksman gets some quality of life!

A wide variety of Marksman has been given base health increases and base health growth over time in Patch 10.11 due to stale gameplay, so you'll be able to rely a little less on your support, and actually act like a true Marksman.

Conclusion

League of Legends saw some much-needed diversity in the Marksman area, which is something the LoL community stressed needed to happen sooner, rather than later. Bard mains can finally rejoice in getting a brand new skin! Which totally doesn't look like a certain character from My Hero Academia. Needless to say, the patch has been bountiful as always, and we look forward to those Marksman changes. For the full list of notes, you can check out Riot Games article on Patch 10.11.

For everything else League of Legends, keep it right here with EarlyGame.
