Bjergsen and Doublelift played together on TSM years ago. Now the duo is reuniting on a brand-new League of Legends team.
An iconic duo has reunited in the LCS and that is none other than former TSM bot laner Yiliang "Doublelift" Peng and Søren "Bjergsen" Bjerg. This is going to be the third time that these two wayward souls have found to one another once more.
Okay, let's not get emotional, but it's incredible to see two veterans like this come back to play at the highest level once more. This time they won't be donning the black and white of TSM together though, instead choosing a new home.
League of Legends: Bjergsen and Doublelift Together on 100 Thieves
The two round out the upcoming 100 Thieves roster which is made up of young talent, led by two of the most well-known and respected veterans in the LCS. This will be the first time since the 2020 season that the two will be playing together.
After the 2020 season Bjergsen retired to become the team's head coach, while Doublelift moved to content creation and streaming. Now, for the 2023 season the duo will unite once more on the 100 Thieves roster.
Complete 100 Thieves Roster For 2023 LCS Season
100 Thieves let most of their players go. Veteran top laner Kim "Ssumday" Chan-ho moved on to EG along with their former bot laner Ian "FBI" Huang. Former support "Choi "huhi" Jae-hyun found a new home with Golden Guardians and mid laner Felix "Abbedagge" Braun hasn't made any announcements yet regarding his 2023 season.
So, a lot of players had to be replaced on 100 Thieves with only jungler Can "Closer" Çelik staying.
100 Thieves have called up their academy top laner and support to round out the team, making this a good mix of experienced players, as well as young native NA talent as well.
- Top Lane: Milan "Tenacity" Oleksij
- Jungle: Can "Closer" Çelik
- Mid Lane: Søren "Bjergsen" Bjerg
- Bot Lane: Yiliang "Peter" "Doublelift" Peng
- Support: Alan "Busio" Cwalina
Will this be the roster to take down Cloud9 and Team Liquid? They also went down the route of bringing in local talent and 100 Thieves has a great mix of veteran and young players. We will see at the 2023 Lock In Tournament for the LCS then how they do.
