With rumors stating that Fudge is moving back to the top lane, a big gap is missing in C9's roster. Who will fill it, though?
Cloud9 is in search for their next mid laner. At least that is what rumors are stating. The experiment of trying Fudge out in the mid lane is over and after having only placed fourth in the 2022 LCS Spring Split, he's got a one-way ticket back to the top lane.
Where does this leave C9's mid lane though? According to sources from Upcomer, the team will sign a very familiar face — Nicolaj "Jensen" Jensen.
Jensen Set To Join C9 For Summer
Jensen had made his LCS debut with Cloud9, but ahead of the 2019 season, he switched allegiances and joined a surging Team Liquid. With Team Liquid, he made multiple LCS finals appearances, even making it to the 2019 Mid-Season Invitational finals, where the team lost to G2 Esports.
Ahead of the 2022 Spring Season, the veteran mid laner was replaced by Team Liquid with none other than his biggest rival, Søren "Bjergsen" Bjerg who had spent 9 years with Team Solo Mid as a player and a coach.
But now, it seems like Jensen is ready to make it back to the LCS stage, with Cloud9 looking to fill the mid lane position. There had been multiple options, but Jensen is a well-known veteran who is able to play a multitude of champions for his team. Not to mention, he's also a fan favorite.
Will C9 Get A New Support Player?
We could be seeing another well-known face on the C9 squad. Zven, a long time veteran, is also going to be making a comeback to the LCS, only this time in a new position. We could be seeing the former bot laner play support in the 2022 LCS Summer Split.
He wouldn't be the first player to make the switch to the support position. Let's see whether this is true though and whether Zven will be able to manage to switch as well as other players like Huhi and CoreJJ.
