C9 Take Sole Posession Of First Place

The LCS is nearing their playoffs, which means every single game will be just that much more meaningful. The 2022 Spring Split has been especially close, especially for all the teams sitting in the middle of the pack. So, as we’re nearing the end, who seems to be the favorite?

C9 And TL Face Off In Week 6

Korea9 has been tearing it up in the last few weeks. Summit has been a huge part of the team's success, and it seems that with every weekend, the team gets better at communicating. This weekend, Cloud9 went 2-0, beating out a struggling IMT, as well as their top tier rivals Team Liquid.

Liquid is now alone in second place with a record of 10-3 after their loss to Cloud9 and a win against EG. While Liquid looked solid against EG, they couldn’t overcome Summit in their second match of the weekend, C9 matching them every turn and in the end securing the first spot in the LCS standings.

The previously second place FlyQuest slipped up this weekend with a surprise loss to CLG and a loss to 100 Thieves, making them slip into fourth place, now tied with Dignitas, while 100 Thieves instilled fear in their opponents by going 2-0, showing just why this team won the LCS in 2021 — like come on, going down 11K gold and still winning is the chad move, right?

CLG Move Up in the Standings

CLG has been a bottom feeder team over the last few years and this year is no different, but they have been sneaking in surprise wins here and there, earning themselves a record of 5-8. After week 6, they’re tied for 7th place along with Golden Guardians who managed to lose to 100 Thieves even after going up 11K gold.

TSM continues to struggle in week 6 with two losses to Dignitas and EG. The team has only managed to scrape together two wins during the 2022 LCS Spring Split this far. The only thing this team can do is try to finish the split with a semblance of pride and then go back to the drawing board for the 2022 Summer Split.

Will TSM be able to get their stuff together in the summer, or will the team once again implode and get a whole new roster? Before the Spring Split, this was dubbed a ‘development roster’ which means that the team will need time to develop and shine on stage. Let’s hope TSM gives these young guys some time.
