With the LEC format changing this year, we are only going to have one big stadium finals, but this event is going to be huge. Riot have already revealed where the event will be held, so now it's just time for the teams to qualify through the new LEC tournament to represent EMEA at the 2023 League of Legends World Championship.

The event is going to be huge, capping off a successful 2023 season by having the top teams of the entire season go head-to-head to decide a winner. During the broadcast of the first LEC weekend in 2023 it was also finally announced where the event will take place.

LEC Finals To Take Place in Southern France

Montpellier has been named the host city of the LEC finals for 2023. This is going to be the first time since 2017 that an LEC event will be held in France. Back then the league was still the EULCS. Crazy to think how time flies, eh?

Alberto Guerrero, Head of Esports, EMEA region stated that this will be the biggest event in the Riot Esports EMEA calendar and that they're excited to bring the LEC back to France.

With such a large and spirited LoL Esports fan base in France, we’re delighted to bring our roadshow back to the country for the first time since 2017, by hosting our showpiece event in Montpellier in the Occitanie region

With the LEC underway, it'll be exciting to see who accumulates enough Championship points throughout the three LEC splits to see who will make it to the LEC Finals and stand on stage in Montpellier, France to have a chance to represent the LEC and EMEA at the biggest tournament later this year in South Korea.
