MSI 2023 is just around the corner, with the first game kicking off on May 2, 2023. In a recent post by Riot, they explained the format, gave exact dates for the schedule and also revealed that fans can contribute to the prize pool.

This isn't anything new, with Riot having implemented this a while ago for the World Championship, and DOTA 2 reaching prize pool numbers far beyond anyone's imagination with the same system. Now, it's time for MSI to also have an increased prize pool.

LoL MSI 2023: Fans Contribute To Prize Pool

In the MSI 2023 primer on the official LoL esports website, fans can read up on anything and everything they need to know for the League of Legends Mid-Season Invitational.

Riot revealed that 25% of proceeds from the Inkshadow Event Pass, as well as the Inkshadow Yasuo skin will be going straight into the prize pool of the event. So if you were going to buy the event pass or the skin, then you've got even more of a reason to do so.

Will any of these champions be played at MSI 2023?

Not only that, but Riot is also creating a unique Esports Bundle just for MSI 2023, which will include the skin, the event pass, as well as some other unique gifts like a special Inkshadow Yasuo chroma.

There had been rumours about the chroma, many believing it to be a free drop at MSI 2023, but now the truth is out and this will be a chroma you can only receive through the Esports Bundle Riot will release ahead of the 2023 Mid-Season Invitational.

This just goes to show that MSI will be a big tournament this year, with a whole new format, and more teams from the top four regions also competing. So, who do you have your money on to win MSI 2023?
