It's a never ending story in League of Legends. Smurf accounts are everywhere and they're ruining games. Players have had enough.
League of Legends is a pretty toxic game, with five strangers coming together to form a team alongside limited communication tools. But it seems that there are even more reasons for toxicity to spark and one of those main reasons is none other than smurf accounts.
Players have expressed their frustration with smurfs and their in-game behavior for a while, but it seems that it's gotten worse over the last season or so and players have had enough.
LoL: Players Believe Smurfs Cause Toxicity Issues
Smurfs are a huge issue in League of Legends, since players feel that it's those using smurf accounts that bring forth the worst attitude. Whether it's a smurf playing in a much lower skill bracket or the opposite, nothing good comes from these players.
Combat toxic surfs with your skill and to gain that skill you need the best equipment possible. I suggest the Logitech G Pro Mechanical keyboard for the best gaming experience.
Smurfs ruin the experience for both teammates and opponents, and players have been begging Riot for months now to do something about the rampant issues of bought League of Legends accounts.
You cannot go a single week on Reddit without seeing at least one big thread on smurf accounts and the issues they bring to the game. This just goes to show that this is a real issue which Riot should tackle in the coming months, with more and more players dissatisfied with the current state of the game.
It's sad to see atleast one lvl 31 account in every ranked game we play. Why does riot allow an account into ranked queue which has'nt even played a single normal game before and only bot games? It's unhealthy for the game.
Some players have made suggestions on how to try and combat this issue within the game. Some players think putting in more qualifications than just 'be level 30' should be implemented. Adding in things like: Has to have won/lost a specific amount of normal games could help.
Need the best headphones possible? Then I would definitely get the Bose QuietComfort headphones!
Other ideas are to introduce a new report function with which players can report smurf accounts to Riot. This could help weed out some of the more toxic smurf accounts which players purchase for cheap and then go and play ranked.
There is no perfect system to try and combat smurfs and toxicity in an online game like League of Legends, but it's certain that Riot will have to work on a fix soon, because user satisfaction is at an all-time-low.
