In LoL Patch 14.13, Riot decided to completely neglect the support role, with a total of 0 changes in this patch. Yes, you read that right. There are no changes for support champions in this patch. Well, no direct changes. Since the supports do have to play alongside the bot laners, there can always be a shift depending on the OP ADC's.

So, with that in mind, who are the top tier supports you can pick in LoL Patch 14.13? That's what we've made this tierlist for.

Support Tier List For LoL Patch 14.13: These Are The Best Supports

3. Thresh

Thresh is back to dominate the bot lane. With an incredible win rate of 50.23% he is one of the best picks in the bot lane right now.

Build:

Thresh should always get Locket of the Iron Solar as his first item, with Knight's Vow second. After that, you've got the choice of either getting Frozen Heart or Zeke's Convergence.

Powerspikes:

Thresh is a pretty good pick all around, but he does become better the longer the games goes on, since he will be much tankier and can live through fights much longer. He can already be a great lane bully at level 1 with his hook.

Counters:

You should avoid picks like Zyra when playing Tresh, since she has her annoying stun and flowers, which do a lot of damage. Similarly, Thresh will also struggle against Renata Glasc and Taric.

Good Synergy:

Thresh can be paired with a lot of different champions, but he excels with traditional marksmen like Caitlyn or Jinx. Thresh will hook the enemy while the ADC gets to free hit the enemies. Nice.

2. Leona

Leona is one of the best support champions in the meta right now. She's great early and has insane potential as an engage support, and with a win rate of 52.50% that's pretty obvious.

Build:

Firstly, you're going to want to rush Warmog's Armor in the current meta. Once you've got that secured, pick up Locket of the Iron Solari and round out your build with Knight's Vow so your bot laner can be well protected.

You can also pick Thornmail as a third item for some extra security and to add some anti-heal to your kit.

Powerspikes:

Leona is strongest in the early and mid game. She's probably got one of the best level 2's in the entire game, so make sure to look for aggressive plays in lane to get your bot laner ahead. In the mid game, group up for objectives and fights. Your ultimate is going to be a key initiation tool for any team fights around this time.

Counters:

Soraka or Janna are some of the best picks into Leona. They're able to outrange her and play from a distance, constantly healing and shielding their allies, which can be frustrating if you're trying to go in on a fight with Leona.

Good Synergy:

Leona is a great champion with Nilah or with Jinx. Both of these champions are great in the early stages of the game and like to fight in lane, which is what Leona can do. Especially someone like Nilah is great, who is also a melee champion, ready to get in the enemies face.

1. Nami

Nami is one of the best champions in the game right now, and she is dominating the bot lane with a win rate of 51.91%. So if you're not in the mood for a tanky support, your next best option is Nami.

Build:

Nami is a pure enchanter. You'll be building Imperial Mandate first for mana regeneration and slows. As a second item, you should pick up Shurelya's Battlesong to give your teammates a substantial speed boost.

Your third item can vary depending on the situation, but Ardent Censer is incredibly strong and recommended when paired with an AD bot laner.

Powerspikes:

Nami's power spike comes with her level 6. With her massive wave, she can boost all hit enemies, giving her team plenty of time to deal damage or to escape. In combination with her Q, she can execute a stun combo, immobilizing enemies for what feels like an eternity.

Counters:

Nami particularly struggles against Shaco, but then again, which champion doesn't? His annoying boxes deal immense damage, and he can also turn invisible to sneak up on you perfectly.

Good Synergy:

Nami works well with Nilah. Together, this duo can run down anyone and defeat you in both close and ranged combat. This makes them a strong duo from start to finish.

Engage supports are reigning supreme in LoL Patch 14.13. Sure, we've got Sona, Janna and Zyra in there as well, but the tanks are ruling the meta right now and will continue to do so.

WIth Nautilus you've got great CC in case Leona is banned. Make sure to check out Poppy as well, since she's one of the best supports, but also one fo the most overlooked.

Who Are Our B-Tier Support Champions?

The B-Tier consists of champions that are good, but won't have as much strength as either the A- or S-Tier — obviously. These are picks you can choose in specific match ups, but we suggest making sure you master the champion before choosing them.

The B-tier is where you've got your enchanters and damage dealing supports like Pyke, Milio and Xerath. It's a whole mix of things that is decent right now and can win against the A-tier, but might struggle into the S-tier.

Who Are Our F-Tier Support Champions?

These are the picks we advise you to forget about this patch. Either their win rates are abysmal or they were nerfed in the patch. So make sure to avoid picking these champions at all costs.

Especially low MMR players should not touch any of these champions. While picks like Hwei look fun, they're difficult to maneuver and take time to master. So please practice ahead of your ranked games.

Make sure to never be that cruel to your ADC to pick one of these, and you'll climb.

These are the best support champions in LoL Patch 14.13. What do you think? Did we place your fave champion too low… or maybe even too high?
