MSI 2023 is inching ever closer. Two more teams have to qualify, one from Europe and another from Vietnam, but then we're ready to head to London for a whole new and exciting tournament format that will bring together the entire League of Legends world.

Before any of the action can take place though, teams are going to have to be put into groups through a draw and luckily, you'll be able to watch it! Let's go over when and where to watch the MSI 2023 group draft.

MSI 2023: New Format Overview

The 2023 Mid-Season Invitational is going to have a brand-new format made up of two rounds. The first round will feature eight teams drawn into two groups of four. The groups will play a double-elimination bracket with each match in the bracket being a best-of-three.

The winners of each group will move on to the next stage, while the winners of the lower bracket run will face off in a final "Last Chance Qualifier" match, will move on to the second stage of the tournament.

Are we going to be seeing some of these combos at MSI 2023?

This year, the LCS, LEC, LCK and LPL will have two teams competing at the tournament, with each major region having their first-place team move onto the bracket stage right away, while the second-place teams will compete in the play-in bracket stage.

The LCK will feature both their first and second seed in the bracket stage, since the LCK won the 2022 League of Legends World Championship.

The VCS and LEC will decide their finals teams on April 23, 2023 with both regions playing their Spring finals on the same day.

MSI 2023: When Will The Draw Show Take Place?

Riot have recently revealed that the draw show for the 2023 Mid-Season Invitational will take place after the LEC finals on April 23, 2023. The LEC finals are set to take place around 12 pm ET (4 pm GMT). Once the final participant of the LEC is decided, the group draw will take place.

This means that the draw is likely going to take place in Berlin in the LEC arena. Due to the event being a best of five series it's hard to pinpoint the exact time it will take place, since it'll depend on how long the matches go and how many it'll take to crown an LEC Spring winner.

Where to Watch MSI 2023 Draw Show

You can watch the draw show on the official Riot Games channel like their YouTube and Twitch, as well as on the LoLesports website.

The Mid-Season Invitational will kick off on May 2, 2023 with the play-in stage. Let's see who is going to face off for the opening match of the event in London!
