We are getting ready for the next League of Legends Patch and this patch is going to be crazy. Sure, we get our usual buffs and nerfs in LoL Patch 12.21, but we're also going to be on the receiving end of a brand-new top lane champion.

K'Sante has entered the chat in this patch and he is going to shake up the top lane meta quite a bit with his Ntofos, which are a play-on-words for Tonfas, which is the inspiration for his weapon. But what else can you expect from this upcoming League of Legends patch? Let's go over the details right now.

LoL Patch 12.21 - All Champion Updates

Champion Nerfs in LoL Patch 12.21

We are getting a few channges this patch. The balance team is busy trying to sort out the upcoming preseason, hence why we're not getting all too many balance changes this time around. Are you ready for the upcoming jungle changes?

These are all the champions getting nerfed in LoL Patch 12.21:

ChampionNerfs
Miss FortuneE - Make it Rain
  • Magic Damage: 70/100/130/160/190 (+100% AP) ⇒ 70/100/130/160/190 (+120% AP)
  • Slow: 50% (+4% per 100 AP) ⇒ 40% (+6% per 100 AP)

R - Bullet Time

  • Damage per Wave: 75% AD + 20% AP ⇒ 75% AD + 25% AP

Miss Fortune has been a solid pick in solo queue thanks to the buffs a few patches ago, hence why Riot is nerfing her. Unfortunately, these buffs haven't done much for her on the pro stage, with MF having one of the worst win rates at the LoL World Championship.

ChampionNerfs
Bel'VethE - Royal Maelstrom
  • Cooldown: 22/20.5/19/17.5/16 ⇒ 24/22.5/21/19.5/18

  • Void Remora Health: 50/60/70% ⇒ 40/50/60% of minion’s maximum health

Same as with the nerfs we are not getting a lot of buffs this patch either and most of them will be more or less just minor buffs. So let's check out all champions receiving a buff in LoL Patch 12.21.

Riot is also making a bug in Ornn's kit an official change in this patch. According to the patch notes he's always inflicted a 60% slow with his ultimate, even though it was supposed to be a scaling slow with each point added into the ultimate. Now they've just made it 60% on all levels.

R - Call of the Forge God

  • Maximum Slow: 40/50/60% ⇒ 60% at all ranks

New LoL Champion K'Sante Release in LoL Patch 12.21

We had already guessed this, but K'Sante will be coming home in LoL Patch 12.21. Expect him in the shop a day after the patch drops. Make sure you give him a try. He's been buffed a few times on the PBE so he might actually be OP... but you'll only know once you try him.

K'Sante is going to make playing tanks fun and unique with his insane ultimate which lets him turn into a skirmisher in the blink of an eye. He's got a boat load of crowd control in his kit, multiple dashes and he can also stun opponents. What more would you want. I think Lil Nas X said it best in the K'Sante reveal, "So you're telling me, you can build tank items and still solo their ADC?"

K'Sante Abilities Revealed

Let's quickly go over all of the abilities of K'Sante so you guys know what this champion is all about. The most important one is his ultimate so we'll highlight that one first. This is the one that will be used for playmaking in specific situations.

R - All Out
  • K’Sante shatters his ntofos, dealing physical damage and Knocking Back an enemy champion. Enemies that hit a wall will take a greater amount of physical damage, are Knocked Back over the wall, and are briefly Stunned. K’Sante then dashes after the enemy and goes All Out for an extended duration.
  • All Out K’Sante loses a percentage of max health, bonus armor, and bonus magic resistance. K’Sante gains attack damage, omnivamp, and transforms his abilities.

K'Sante has a very simple passive that doesn't require someone to have a PhD in League of Legends to understand. But it does have an added extra when K'Sante's ultimate is currently in use. A common thing you'll notice is that K'Sante changes his abilities slightly when All Out is active.

Passive - Dauntless Instinct
  • K’Sante’s damaging abilities mark enemies hit for a short duration. Attacking a marked enemy consumes the mark to deal damage plus max health physical damage.
  • All Out: Attacking a marked enemy instead deals physical damage and additional max health true damage.

Then we have his Q, which will be your main damage source. You'll want to weave it in between your auto attacks to get the most out of your abilities.

Q - Ntofo Strikes
  • K’Sante slams his weapon, dealing physical damage in a small area around him and briefly Slowing targets hit. If an enemy is hit, K’Sante gains a stack for a short duration. At 2 stacks, K’Sante instead fires a shockwave that Pulls enemies
  • All Out: This ability’s cooldown is reduced and no longer slows targets hit.

The remaining two abilities are tank abilities that will either CC the opponent or shield an ally. So let's check them out.

W - Path Maker
  • Begin Charging: K’Sante raises his weapons defensively for a short duration, becoming Unstoppable, and reducing incoming damage.
  • Release: K’Sante rams forward, dealing a percentage of max health physical damage, Knocking Back, and Stunning enemies he passes through for a short duration based on charge time.
  • All Out: This ability’s cooldown is refreshed, the damage reduction is increased, it deals an additional amount of physical damage based on charge time, and the charge and dash speed are doubled
E - Footwork
  • K’Sante dashes, gaining a shield for a short duration. If dashing to an ally, the distance is significantly increased and they are also Shielded. Other spells can be cast during this ability.
  • All Out: This ability’s dash speed is increased. Dashing to a targeted location has increased range and can go over walls.

New Skins in LoL Patch 12.21

We are also getting some new skins in the upcoming League of Legends patch. This time Riot is releasing a whole new skin line and of course K'Sante will also be getting a prestige skin which is going to put a whole new twist on the champion. The prestige skin was also worked on by none other than the president of League of Legends himself – Lil Nas X.

  • Empyrean Lux
  • Empyrean Jhin
  • Empyrean Zac
  • Empyrean Zed
  • Empyrean Vex
  • Empyrean Pyke
  • Empyrean Jax
  • Empyrean K'Sante
    • Empyrean K'Sante Prestige Edition

This is everything we know about LoL Patch 12.21. Will you be picking up the brand-new Lux skin or will you save your RP for something else? We are getting more champions, like the enchanter from Ixtal, so let's be surprised!
