League of Legends Patch 12.5b Buffs & Nerfs

Patch 12.5 will last throughout all of March, so Riot is implementing a small b-patch, but which champions will get buffed and which ones nerfed?

Master Yi just received a hotfix this weekend, and his win rate has plummeted from 55% in Gold and lower to an abysmal 49% almost instantaneously. It seems like Riot isn’t sure what to do with the wuju warrior, since he is going to get buffed again in Patch 12.5b.

With League of Legends Patch 12.5 being extremely long, Riot has decided to make some changes halfway through the patch. If you’re an ADC main, you’ll have a lot to be worried about, since most changes in the B-patch will have an effect on the bot lane.

Champion Nerfs in League of Legends Patch 12.5b

Ryze is getting nerfed, along with three ADCs. The Ryze nerfs will likely focus on the pro-scene and high elo players, since his win rate in lower elos is at a mere 45%. This is a champion that has a lot of teamfight power, but needs coordination, which players in lower elos don’t have.

Master Yi has been on a roller coaster ride of buffs and nerfs the last few weeks. First, Riot shipped a ‘nerf’ that shot his win rate up to 55% with players abusing his new on-hit affinity, which made Riot nerf him to hell and back. Now he’s back on the buff list.

System Adjustments in League of Legends Patch 12.5b

One item is on the nerf list this patch. Locket of the Iron Solari is going to be nerfed in the b-patch before the Riot balance team goes on vacation. Thankfully, support champions have multiple options for items, so if Riot overshoot the nerf support mains will survive.

Zeri is also getting nerfed again this patch, the new ADC requiring a lot of adjustment since her debut. Renata Glasc on the other hand has been pretty stable. Are bot laners just harder to get right?

When Will LoL Patch 12.5b Be Released?

The B-Patch will be released on Wednesday Match 9, 2022. This means you won't have a lot of time to prepare for all those bot lane changes. If you're an Aphelios main or love to play Zeri, then watch out, you might need to find a new main like Draven!
