Let's check out the newest League of Legends Patch 12.5 and see what changes have hit the rift. Who got nerfed and who got buffed? Will the meta change?
League of Legends Patch 12.5 is out on the rift. This is a comparable small patch to the previous ones. No big changes to the top lane this time around like in Patch 12.3 and Patch 12.4, but we do have some buffs and nerfs that could impact the meta.
So, which champions will be completely broken after this patch, and why hasn’t Vayne gotten any nerfs even though her win rate consistently sits above 52%? Well, let’s go over the new patch and check out the biggest highlights of League of Legends Patch 12.5.
Hullbreaker Adjustments in Patch 12.5
Hullbreaker has been a pretty nifty item which enhances a champion's potential to split push. The item was introduced last year and has been great for top lane champions, both melee and ranged alike, but it seems that some players have realized just how good the item is and started abusing it.
So, to keep ranged Hullbreaker abusers out of the top lane, Riot has decided to make a few changes to the item.
- Bonus Armor and Magic Resist: 0-60 (levels 1-18) ⇒ [20-60 (levels 1-18) for melee/10-30 (levels 1-18) for ranged]
- Siege and Super Minion Bonus Armor and Magic Resist: 60-180 (levels 1-18) ⇒ [60-180 (levels 1-18) for melee/30-90 (levels 1-18) for ranged]
These changes will feel especially bad on Urgot who will have to suffer for ranged champions sins once more, just as he had done before with the Frostfire Gauntlet changes and the Divine Sunderer update. Riot, why is Urgot still considered ranged when he’s basically a melee champion?
Seraphine Switch To The Bot Lane
Since her debut on the League of Legends stage, players have wondered why this champion is considered a mid laner. She has the perfect support champion kit! Her most played role is as a support, but it’s also the role with the lowest win rate, down in the dumps at 47%.
So, to bring her win rate up in the support role, she got quite a few adjustments that won’t have much of an effect on her play style in the mid lane either, though.
Her W heal and shield is going to be more powerful for her allies, which is going to be great for the support role, making Seraphine a great support to play. Oh, and lucky you, she is part of the free champion rotation for the first week of March.
Elise Visual Overhaul in Patch 12.5
Our favorite spider lady has received a visual overhaul! She is looking good right now out on the rift after Riot cleaned up her model, improved her cocoon hit box and updated multiple skins. So, which skins did get a VFX update?
- Base Model
- Death Blossom Elise
- Blood Moon Elise
- Victorious Elise
- SKT T1 Elise
- Bewitching Elise
- Super Galaxy Elise
- Withered Rose Elise
Bee Skins Released in Patch 12.5
The biggest highlight of the patch has to be the new skins that Riot released. As you can tell, I’m a big fan of the Bee skins. They’re silly and adorable, and the bee puns in the skin descriptions are great. So, let’s see which champions received Bee skins.
- Ziggs
- Orianna
- Heimerdinger
- Nunu & Willump
So, will you be checking out the new and improved support Seraphine? Or will you stick to champions like Rell in the bot lane? Of course, you can also test out our newest support Renata Glasc who received some last minute nerfs in her debut patch. Remember, this patch will last throughout most of March, so get comfortable, because this meta won’t change soon.
