LoL Patch 13.17 is going to be buffing a few pretty iconic picks in League of Legends.
Players have been complaining about how weak mages are in the mid lane for a long time. Throughout all of season 12 and 13, mages have been struggling. Now in the upcoming LoL Patch 13.17, Riot is looking to make some changes.
A couple of iconic mid lane mages are going to be buffed in the upcoming patch and hopefully these champions will be played during the 2023 League of Legends World Championship, since they're unforgettable and fan-favorite picks.
LoL Patch 13.17: Mages Getting Buffed
Lux is one of the most played champions in all of League of Legends, but lately she has been struggling in the mid lane. We see her more and more in the bottom lane as a support, sniping kills off her ADC, rather than in the mid lane.
One of the main reasons is probably how immobile she is, as well as the current state of mages in general. Mages are struggling and they have been for a long time, so a buff is in order.
Joining Lux on the buff list is also Orianna, who is an iconic mid lane champion that has seen insane highlight plays throughout the last years, especially in high-pressure games like at the World Championship. Unfortunately, currently she's at a 49% win rate, which won't be enough to make her a threat at Worlds.
Zoe and Twisted Fate are also at a 49% win rate according to op.gg, so they've also earned their very own buffs this patch as well. Vex is the fifth mid laner to be getting a buff this patch.
Riot has not revealed the exact buffs for these champions yet but we do hope that they are going to be able to stand alongside the assassin's that have been so popular in recent times.
