LoL: Perkz Reportedly Leaving Vitality After 2023 Disaster Season

Team Vitality had built a super team for the 2023 season, but the team was a total disappointment. Now the team is looking to make some major changes for the 2024 LEC season.

Throughout the last two years Luka "Perkz" Perković has been playing on the french or Team Vitality. Unfortunately, during this time, the squad did not qualify for the Worlds either year, which has been quite disappointing for a well-known player like Perkz.

It seems though that after a disastrous 2023 the famous mid laner has had enough and that he will be leaving Team Vitality this off-season. This has not been confirmed yet, but there are quite a lot of rumours surrounding his departure from the org floating around right now.

LoL: Jankos "Leaks" Perkz Leaving Vitality

In a recent stream Perkz' former teammate Marcin "Jankos" Jankowski talked about comparing current players and former players. As an example he gave himself and G2 Esports new jungler Martin "Yike" Sundelin. He also mentioned comparing Perkz to... someone he wasn't allowed to say.

This could indicate that Perkz is going to be leaving Team Vitality and that there has been some work done behind the scenes of the org. Especially with how badly the 2023 season ended for Perkz and Vitality, not even making it to the LEC Summer Groups and getting a chance to run the gauntlet for a chance at Worlds 2023.

In 2022 Team Vitality, who were also considered a strong team by many, also failed to make it to Worlds 2022.

While Perkz does have one more year left on his contract with the French esports org, it seems highly unlikely that he will continue on the team.

The LEC has also revealed that they will be implementing a salary cap for the 2024 season and a player like Perkz probably isn't the most affordable player to keep on your payroll, so Vitality might also want to free up some salary space for another mid laner.
