Riot has multiple skin lines and some make a comeback every few years. So, to celebrate the Asian Games and the 2022 FIFA World Cup, we might be getting some brand-new Sports skins in League of Legends.
In 2010 Riot released their first set of soccer-themed League of Legends skins. For every FIFA World Cup after that they released more skins with the sports-theme, completing the soccer fantasy alternate universe with two different teams – Order United and Chaos FC.
So, will we be getting some more skins this year? Rumors and leaks might suggest that yes, there are going to be some new soccer skins making their way onto the pitch that is Summoner's Rift. Which team will get new recruits in 2022?
When Will The New Sports Skins Release?
According to BigBadBear, we could be getting new sports skins later in the year. The FIFA World Cup usually takes place during the summer, but with the event taking place in Qatar this year and temperatures reaching up to 50 degrees Celsius there, the event has been moved to November 2022 instead.
The World Cup will kick off November 20, 2022. This means that if Riot wants to release their World Cup themed soccer skins around this time as well, we would receive the skins in LoL Patch 12.22 on November 16 or in the last patch of the year LoL Patch 12.23 on December 7, 2022.
Okay, but petition to have K/DA perform at this year's FIFA World Cup, right?
Which Champions Will Receive World Cup Skins?
The champions for the upcoming World Cup skins haven't been revealed yet. As mentioned these are just leaks so nothing is set into stone whether we're receiving skins for this event. But we would love to see some more soccer themed skins even if it's just a few champions. Who could you imagine getting World Cup skins? Teemo? Or maybe a cheerleader outfit for Lux?

How Much Would New Soccer Skins Cost?
Riot usually releases new skins for 1350 RP, and it seems like that's what they're going to keep the price at. We doubt any of the upcoming World Cup skins will be legendary or ultimate skins, so we do think Riot is going to keep the price at 1350 RP.
