After two huge events in the League of Legends client with a lot of skins, it seems like the Steel Valkyries event is going to be on a much smaller scale. Let's check out what you can with the Battle Pass and what other rewards are waiting for you.
The Star Guardian event hasn't even finished yet and somehow Riot is already teasing the next event in League of Legends. With the arrival of new skins, we will be getting a Steel Valkyries event in the client, but this event seems to be on a smaller scale than previous events.
While the Star Guardian event was filled to the brim with cosmetics, cinematics and tokens, the Steel Valkyries event will be held to a much-smaller scale. Sure, there is a prestige skin on the market, but no legendary and the amount of skins we're getting is also much smaller. So, what do we know about the event already?
Steel Valkyries Event Pass
If you're looking to get the most out of the Steel Valkyries Event, then you'll likely want to pick up the event pass. You have the choice of the simple event pass or the pass bundle, depending on how much RP you've got and want to spend.

Steel Valkyries Event: Loot Available
Of course, one of the most important things to look forward to for any event is going to be the loot available to players. Even free-to-play players are able to earn some of these rewards so don't be discouraged if you don't want to spend money on an event pass for this small League of Legends event.

You will be able to earn tokens until September 26, 2022, and you can use them to purchase things in the Steel Valkyries event shop until October 3, 2022. So, if you manage to gain enough tokens you'll be able to earn some rewards like the Steel Valkyries Orb.

Steel Valkyries Chromas
You'll also be able to earn specific chromas for already existing Steel Valkyries skins, as well as new Steel Valkyries skins in the event shop. It is important to remember that the Dreadnova skin line is also part of the Steel Valkyries universe. These old skins will receive chromas:
- Bullet Angel Kai'Sa - 1 Chroma
- Dreadnova Gangplank - 1 Chroma
- Admiral Glasc - 1 Chroma
- Aether Wing Kayle - 6 Chromas

Steel Valkyries Event Dates
When will the Steel Valkyries event even start? Well, that is a very good question. The event is going to be a short 1-month event and will start with League of Legends Patch 12.16 and conclude at the end of September. You've got one month to farm tokens, so you can redeem them in your Steel Valkyries event shop.
The event is going to kick off on August 25, 2022 and will end September 26, 2022. You've got until October 3, 2022 to spend the tokens you've earned throughout the event. Just in time for the LoL Worlds 2022 event, right?
This event is reminiscent of the small Eclipse event we had earlier this year which took place between the larger Anima Squad and High Noon events Riot had put on. During the Eclipse event, players had to solve riddles to earn rewards, so it could be that this event will also have such unique missions added into the mix.
Skins in the Steel Valkyries Event
As already mentioned, this event is going to have fewer skins than the Star Guardian event. Riot has released Four champion skins with Janna getting a prestige edition of her skin. So get ready to earn some tokens and hopefully, you can get the Janna Prestige skin if you enjoy playing her.
