The play-in stage is over and now it's time for the LoL Worlds 2022 Group Phase. Which teams have made it, and when will your favorite squads compete for a chance to make it into the knockout rounds?
The League of Legends World Championship just keeps on rolling. The Play-In stage ended successfully and we're just waiting for the four teams that made it through the first phase to make it to New York for the next stage of the biggest LoL esports event of the year.
So, make sure to get those Pick'Ems up and running to earn some epic rewards because the League of Legends World Championship group phase is going to kick off sooner than you might think.
LoL Worlds 2022 Group Phase: Start and End Dates
The group phase is going to have every team play one another two-times and is going to kick off on Friday, October 7, 2022. The first game of the group phase will see Cloud9 take on Fnatic, both teams from Group A.
This is the first stage of the main event and it will finish off on October 16, 2022 with all of Group D playing one another. So, are you ready for the first eight days of action in the main event of the World Championship?
LoL Worlds Main Phase Format and Schedule
The Group Phase will have 8 days of action in which each team plays their group mates two times in a best-of-one series. The first four days will have each team playing three times, spanning over the course of the days, while the final four group phase days will have one group play exclusively on each day.
The top two team from each group will move onto the quarter-finals. The first seeded teams will face a second seed team from another group to determine who is going to move onto the next round of the knockout-stage.
