According to Variety, the new live-action series is in development for Amazon, with Ferrell teaming up with Jessica Elbaum and Alix Taylor of Gloria Sanchez Productions as executive producers. While the project is in its early stages with no writers or cast attached, it is being developed through a collaboration between Amazon MGM Studios and Banijay Kids & Family, the original creators of Totally Spies!The live-action adaptation will follow the iconic trio - Sam, Clover and Alex - through their first year of college. This fresh approach to storytelling is expected to appeal to longtime fans as well as a new generation of viewers.
