Fortnite is gifting V-Bucks to some players. Maybe you got some as well?
Fortnite sometimes gifts us some V-Bucks as compensation for some failures and issues with the game. Just recently, Epic gave 400 V-Bucks to all Fortnite players who had purchased two emotes which will get a bundle.
And now it happened again! Some players received free V-Bucks with the new Update V.29.10, but nobody really knows why!
Fortnite Give 950 V-Bucks To Players
Some players received 950 V-Bucks as a gift on their first login after the latest update. The reason is not entirely clear, and Epic Games has not provided a statement on it yet.
On X, formerly known as Twitter, the community speculates that the compensation might be related to the Crew-membership. Others think it could be related to the long downtime at the start of the season. However, since not all players and Crew-members have received the V-Bucks, this seems really unlikely.
It's also unlikely to be related to the latest slightly bugged Cash Cups in Duo and Solo since not everyone who received V-Bucks participated in these.
Fortnite Gives Us A Hint!
However, there is a small hint! Since the compensation is exactly 950 V-Bucks, it highly suggests a connection with the Battle Pass, which also costs 950 V-Bucks. There has also recently been a bug that prevented players from reaching the maximum Battle Pass stars. Others suddenly lost some Battle Pass levels or got a reset to level 1! Epic Games addressed both issues through Fortnite Status on X and responded to community feedback:
We're aware players who have reached Battle Pass Level 200 are missing the final 5 Battle Stars needed to unlock Titanflame Hades and we are investigating a fix for this now. We'll provide another update when we have more info. pic.twitter.com/7wkPub4sae

However, this is just speculation and not officially confirmed. We will update you as soon as we know more. But did you receive some V-Bucks?
