Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 is going to look and feel amazing, with brand-new features being introduced to immerse yourself further into the world of aviation.
Recently, at the Flight Simulator Expo in Las Vegas, the Microsoft Flight Simulator dev team revealed some brand-new information on their upcoming title. There are some exciting new features being added to the game that players could have only dreamed of 4 years ago.
Players can expect much more immersion, thanks to new features, as well as visual improvements, so what are the highlights of the upcoming Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024?
Flight Simulator 2024: What To Expect
Visually, the game is going to be improving by a lot. The landscape below the plane is being changed from simply being texture on the ground to full 3D models. So you're going to be seeing brand-new biome models, which will improve the visuals immensely.
To create even more immersion, players will get to do airplane checks ahead of commercial flights, similar to what actual pilots do before they let passengers board the plane. So you get to go through an actual pre-flight checklist to ensure that the maintenance on your plane is being done correctly.
Add-in more realistic AI flown planes and global ship traffic that will be simulated in a more realistic manner. Oh, and every helipad in the world is also coming to Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024.
Not only is the game becoming visually more realistic, but the devs have also implemented some new physics simulations which add more points of contact for plane models. Also, the cargo weight physics have also been included, which is what part of the pre-flight check should be about, to ensure that your plane isn't too heavy with cargo, fuel and passengers.
Players can also sit back and enjoy the in-game flight replay feature, as well as an in-game flight path planner. These should all be features that players can truly get to relax with. Just listen to some music and enjoy the air... without having to pay for an actual flight somewhere.
There are a multitude of new features announced, so if you want to know the nitty-gritty details, make sure to check out the devs' presentation on the official YouTube channel.
