A game based off the popular manga series Sand Land by Akira Toriyama is ready to be released. One final update has given fans some idea of what to expect.
Bandai Namco is turning Sand Land into an action role playing game. The title will be made available on Windows, PlayStation 4 and 5, as well as Xbox Series X/S. The game's release is just around the corner, and the developers have released one final dev update.
Producer Keishu Minami gave a broad overview of the brand-new Forest Land region which will be part of the game.
Sand Land Producer Gives Insight Into New Region
Sand Land is known for its large dusty desert area, the game's story also takes players to a whole new region, the Forest Land. The Forest Land seem to be the main antagonists of the story, as you battle against their greater forces.
Forest Land will unlock after the story in Sand Land finishes. This will expand the story of the game and give players a chance to explore completely new biomes, characters and creatures. It will definitely take fans beyond the manga source material, which is great.
The story's main character is Beelzebub, but there will be new characters and vehicles that we'll meet in Forest Land, as well as new enemies that stand in the way of Beelzebub and friends. The most interesting part involves the new original character Ann and the secrets regarding her past. I hope you'll enjoy playing the game to find out.
So, not only is the story going to expand way past the manga, but brand-new original characters will also be added to the game. Ann is going to be a key character as you play through the Forest Land arc in the game.

According to Minami, Akira Toriyama, the original author of the Sand Land manga, helped in the creation of these new original characters.
Ann, who I mentioned briefly earlier, was designed by Toriyama-sensei!
Players will also be able to move between Sand Land and Forest Land freely, completing quests in either world. The game is set to release on April 25, 2024 for multiple platforms.
