Vtuber Dokibird initiated a fundraiser for Mental Health America, surpassing the original goal of $10,000 without even hosting a single charity stream.
Content creators worldwide frequently organize charity streams for various causes. An exemplary event is Awesome Games Done Quick, which raises funds for organizations like the Prevent Cancer Foundation or Doctors Without Borders. Mental health is also a prominent focus, and rightly so.
Dokibird, the Vtuber, recently spearheaded a fundraiser for Mental Health America and exceeded the goal effortlessly and without a single charity-stream.
Mental Health America is a 115-year-old charity that helps with screenings for conditions, educating about conditions, and raising money through fundraisers for various programs to help individuals. It also helps with youth programs and with warmlines to help people in bad situations or experiencing problems find someone to talk to.
Congratulations to this baffling success, Dokibird!
Dokibird Released A Statement After Unexpected Success.
The initial goal was set for $10,000 and without a single charity stream she already reached it, and the support keeps pouring in! It almost reached $30,000 and that is pretty mind-blowing!
Due to the massive support she encountered, she also released a statement on Twitter/X:

"I will be doing a charity/fundraising stream with stretch goals and donor incentives next week (time of writing February 19, 2024). More information will come out soon as I'm still organizing it and figuring out the details".
Dokibird also announced that she will think about alternative options offering a fundraise feature for anyone worldwide, as the YouTube feature isn't available for everyone on the globe.
