Boku No Hero Academia End: Manga Is In Epilogue Phase
While there is still a lot of Deku's story that has yet to be animated, the base material, the manga by Kōhei Horikoshi , is slowly coming to a close. For 10-years the manga has been serialized in the famous Weekly Shōnen Jump, but with the most recent chapter 423 and the big conclusion of the fight between Deku and Shigaraki has come to an end.
Readers finally found out who the U.A. traitor was as well, a mystery that has been plaguing fans for a while, and even Endeavor got his redemption after being one of the worst fathers in the earlier stages of the series.
So, with everything that has happened throughout the last 10-years, it's time to slowly bid goodbye to Boku no Hero Academia. But will the manga end right now? That's unlikely.
Boku No Hero Manga Author To Continue For A Bit Longer
Kōhei Horikoshi has revealed that while the main climax has concluded, he won't be able to simply end the manga right now. Therefore, fans can be delighted to find out that the serialization of Boku no Hero Academia is going to continue for a short while longer.
Chapter 424 has already been released, the chapter starting off with a short time skip showing off the destruction of the Final Battle of our heroes. Readers get to experience how hero society is being rebuilt from scratch after such a traumatic incident.
How Will The Boku No Hero Academia Manga Continue?
Horikoshi has stated that Boku no Hero Academia is "not the type of manga that can immediately end after the fighting is done" and that he will be "going back to the title" of the manga. What does this mean exactly? Well, it seems like we're going to be getting slice of life stories surrounding all the characters in the manga.
Horikoshi has a large and extensive cast and will have to address some final plot points to ensure that it ends smoothly. We will also get to see how the hero society rebuilds after such a dramatic finale. So, we can expect quite a few more chapters in the manga to truly get a chance to say goodbye to some of the fan favorites.
How Will The Manga Ending Affect The Boku No Hero Anime?
The anime is currently in its seventh season, with quite a bit of plot left to animate. With the manga concluding, the anime will have all the material they need to fully plan out how and when they will animate the rest of the manga. The anime will likely conclude either in 2025 or in 2026 depending on how fast Bones is able to bring the final arc to a close in the series.
Hopefully, we will also be getting some of the epilogue stories added to the anime as well, so anime-only viewers can also enjoy the final arc of the series.
