Shōgun Beats Out The Bear & The Kardashians As Premiere Breaks Viewership Record

The new FX series Shogun is shaping up to be the biggest TV event of the year. After garnering incredibly good reviews before the premiere on February 27, it is now revealed that the show’s start was a record-breaking success.

Shogun Premiere Is The Best In FX History

According to Variety, Shogun had the best premiere of any Disney series ever with “9 million views globally across Hulu, Disney+ and Star+ in its first six days of availability”. The show, based on the James Clavell novel of the same name , is already a huge success.

With these impressive numbers, Shogun has beaten the previously most-successful series premieres in the history Disney, which owns Shogun’s production company and distributor FX, which were The Kardashians Season 1 and The Bear Season 2.
