There is an ongoing debate regarding the strongest anime characters raging. There is probably no proper way to measure the strength of these fictional characters, but fans of manga and anime have their minds set on the most powerful heroes out there.
Recently, Goo Ranking, one of Japan's most renowned poll websites, revealed who the public thought was the strongest anime and manga character of all time. While most would probably put their money on Dragon Ball's Son Goku, the result was a different one. With Goku ranking sixth and Jujutsu Kaisen's Satoru Gojo in fourth place, who takes top spot?
Strongest Anime Character Revealed
Over 15,000 people participated in the poll regarding the strongest anime characters and over 50,000 votes had been cast for about 41 characters. Participants were asked about their opinions on the strongest characters, both protagonist and antagonist, in anime and manga.
The result? Well, a fan favorite character like Ichigo Kurosaki from Bleach was placed in spot 40, while Naruto managed to reach the 17th spot on the ranking. Other popular characters like Monkey D. Luffy made it to spot 11 and Levi Ackerman of Attack on Titan to spot 8. As previously mentioned, Son Goku managed to make it to number 6 on the list.
Strongest Character According To The Poll: Saitama Of One Punch Man
The strongest character comes as no surprise, with Saitama from One Punch Man landing the top spot. It's a well deserved title, since Saitama is a self-made hero, gaining insane strength and power through rigorous training. With a name like "One Punch Man" you'd expect him to be on the number one spot, right?
"One Punch Man" follows Saitama, a hero who can defeat any opponent with a single punch, leading to existential boredom. Seeking a challenge, Saitama joins the Hero Association to gain recognition, encountering various monsters and villains, while exploring the true nature of power, heroism, and his quest for a worthy adversary.

There are some other characters that Japanese fans believe to be the strongest, so let's go over the top 10 on the list. I do think that my man Giorno Giovanna deserves a higher placement than 14, but I guess even Japanese fans can be wrong.
