Ryan Gosling is a hero on and off screen it seems, as he recently revealed that he saved fellow co-star Emily Blunt from a monsoon while filming The Fall Guy.
Filming for The Fall Guy seems to have been wild. The crew moved to Australia for the movie, for the beautiful scenery. While everyone knows that everything supposedly wants to kill you Down Under. What most probably didn't have on their bingo card was to include the weather.
It seems while taking a break while filming, lead actress Emily Blunt, got herself into quite a soaking situation, but thankfully co-star Ryan Gosling was there to help her out and save her.
Ryan Gosling And Emily Blunt Escape Torrential Monsoon In Australia
Ryan Gosling and Emily Blunt recently gave an interview with Entertainment Weekly where they recounted stories that happened during their filming. One of the stories revealed was that Emily Blunt almost got swept away during a monsoon.
According to Gosling, he calls it "the day that Emily was too chill". Blunt revealed that a monsoon had hit base camp, something the actress wasn't even aware of.
I had not realized that there was a monsoon that had hit base camp. I was having a quiet little 22-minute meditation to myself, at which point my door blew open. It was like a hurricane was going on, and Ryan was like Last of the Mohicans: “You need to leave!” I was meditating, and now he thinks I meditate too much.
While saying that Blunt could have drowned is a bit over the top, the duo did tell Entertainment Weekly that some trailers were actually floating away due to knee-deep water that had accumulated due to the monsoon rain. So we could say that Gosling saved her from being swept away in her trailer.
Honestly, it probably wasn't as dangerous as the pair first made the situation out to be, with fellow co-star Aaron Taylor-Johnson revealed to have "taken off most of his clothes and running around basecamp in the water".
The Fall Guy just released in theaters on May 3, 2024 in the United States. The story follows the story of a stuntman working on the set of his ex-girlfriend's directorial debut.
