One Punch Man is getting a live action adaptation. That probably wasn't on your 2024 bingo card, eh?
One Punch Man is one of the weirdest and yet most popular shows in recent history. It has a plethora of interesting and likeable characters, and it seems like it's reached such heights that it warrants a live action movie adaptation.
I guess after the success of both the Avatar live action and One Piece Netflix show, more western producers want to bring anime to the big screen. But for One Punch Man, some pretty big names from popular shows like Rick & Morty have already signed onto the project.
Community Co-Creator Signs On To One Punch Man Live Action Project
One Punch Man is being turned into a live action movie and while this revelation might put fear in most anime fans hearts, seeing the list of people who have signed onto the project should ease that fear a little.
In a recent article by The Hollywood Reporter, it was revealed that none other than Justin Lin, known for his work on the Fast & Furious movies, is going to be working on the project. So he knows a thing or two about fast-paced action movies.
So I guess it's official that I'm working on the One Punch Man movie. Let's fuckin' goooooooooohttps://t.co/kKkLkM78Rb

Not only is Lin a part of this project, but Community co-creator Dan Harmon, alongside Rick & Morty contributor Heather Anne Campbell will be writing the script for the film. So, the staff behind the scenes already looks pretty stacked, right?
One Punch Man is known for its comedic aspects as well as action, so it's great to see the staff encompass both. Unfortunately, more has not been revealed yet about the film, so we're going to have to see who plays Saitama and Genos. I hope Bruce Willis at least makes a cameo appearance...
