Solo Leveling season 1 is coming to an end with episode 10 having just released recently. Now, some behind-the-scenes images have shown that a season 2 could already be in the works.
The Winter 2024 anime are coming to an end, and Crunchyroll has already revealed which series they'll be showing this spring. While some people are looking forward to the release of shows like Wind Breaker or Kaiju No.8, others are hoping for more Solo Leveling content – myself included.
Solo Leveling started off amazing and has since become the third best rated show of Winter 2024 on My Anime List and we haven't even gotten to the best part yet. Jinwoo has yet to meet Igris, which is a main turning point for the Solo Leveling manhwa, in the anime. Now some images have appeared which could hint at a second season already being green lit.
Solo Leveling Season 2 Hinted At With Leaked Images
While the Solo Leveling anime has been airing this winter, Crunchyroll has also revealed some behind-the-scenes footage with a Solo Leveling special. In the latest episode of this special, there were some sketches shown, which had fans pretty excited about a second season of the series potentially already being in the works.
A character design sheet of none other than Beru, one of the shadows that Jinwoo controls with his job skill, is featured in the special. The kicker? Beru only shows up in chapter 105 in the manhwa, and we're a long way away from chapter 105 right now in the anime.
This is probably some of the strongest evidence hinting at a second season yet. Throughout the anime there have been small, yet necessary changes made to the series. Certain characters were shown and introduced in the anime way before they were ever seen in the manhwa.
There were characters who didn't show up in the webtoon. They'd be brought up in dialog but wouldn't appear in the artwork, so we would ask, 'Well, what are they like?
Similarily, the animators could prepare to show off and hint at some of Jinwoo's shadow companions that will play a key part in the next section of the show. Beru is definitely one of the most important shadows, which is why the animators might want to foreshadow his inclusion in some way.
Solo Leveling has become one of the most popular shows on Crunchyroll this winter and has had insane success, so it would definitely make sense to keep the anime going. Not to mention that this whole first season is basically just introduction, because Jinwoo will only truly shine once he has his job skill.
