If you are a fan of awards and seeing how many accolades your favorite games receive, then we have good news for you: the DICE Awards are coming up. All the nominees are out, so you can create your own list of winners before DICE decide on theirs.
The DICE Awards will take place online this year instead of the gambling mecca of Las Vegas. It's the winners we're interested in, not the setting, so all is good on that side. What about the nominees though? That's what you're about to find out.
DICE Awards Nominees
A total of 57 different games have been nominated. The most decorated is The Last of Us Part II. The highly criticized game received 11 nominations. You might be wondering how that may be if the game is so disliked, and... your guess is as good as ours, but it seems that every major outlet is intent on showering the sequel with all types of awards.
A much better release - Ghost of Tsushima, is nominated in 10 categories, most of which it will probably lose to TLOU2. Three more games - Half Life: Alyx, Spider-Man: Miles Morales and Ori and the Will of the Wisps, are nominated in at least five categories.
Just to be clear for those that may get confused. This DICE isn't the one that develops Battlefield. It's an acronym for "Design, Innovate, Communicate, Entertain" and definitely doesn't work on military shooters.
