We're less than five months away from the PlayStation 5 release and we still don't know the official price. This could change soon if we believe the latest leak.
The gaming world is eagerly awaiting the PS5 release. Sony's next-gen console, with some high-caliber games in tow, is scheduled for release later this year. We don't know exactly when it will be, how big the hole will eventually be that will tear the next-gen console into our wallets, and when we can pre-order the PS5. All of that could change soon.
PlayStation 5: Next State of Play in Early August?
At least if we believe Sony insider Roberto Serrano, who has already been right in the past with various leaks (for example regarding the size of the PlayStation 5), revealed via Twitter that Sony is planning a new State of Play edition for August 6 at 22:00.

However, this statement should be taken with a grain of salt, as Sony has yet to confirm the date. It's about time, though, as the PlayStation 5 price and launch date are the last big piece of info before the release, which fans eagerly await.
What Could Sony Show?
Let's assume that Serrano is right with his statement. What could Sony show on the PS5 State of Play?
Well, the last event was about the PlayStation 5 games, so this time the focus should be on the console again. Sony could reveal the price and release date of the PS5. It's also quite possible the pre-order for the next-gen console will start right after the live stream.
After all, the Japanese recently announced that they wouldn't start the pre-ordering without an advance notice. While we're still waiting for a confirmation from Sony, we'll have to continue to exercise patience.
