So, when are they coming, the next-gen consoles PS5 & Xbox Series X? Sony and Microsoft still owe us this information. Now a well-known insider has come forward to give details about the price and release date of the new consoles.
The next-gen consoles PS5 & Xbox Series X will be released in November 2020. When exactly the next generation of consoles will start is as unclear as the price of the new hardware. The most reliable insider Roberto Serrano has now revealed details about the price & release on Twitter.
PlayStation 5 Price and Release
The PS5 prize has already been hinted at several times, but official Sony statements are still being sought in vain. The new Leak by industry insider Roberto Serrano comes in handy here.
On Twitter he announces that he has new information about the two next-gen consoles, which according to him is "more than a rumor or speculation". At least the price he cites is the same as the price of the previous Leaks.
- PS5 release date November 13, 2020
- Console with UDH Blu-Ray drive should cost €499
- The price for the PS5 Digital Edition is €399
November 13 is a Friday. That would fit, new consoles and first-party games are usually released by Sony at the start of the weekend. In the USA, the PlayStation 4 was released on November 15, 2013 - a Friday. In Europe, the PS4 launched on November 29, 2013 - guess what day of the week it was!
Xbox Series X/S Release & Price
The price for the Xbox Series X was last mentioned at €599, and the existence of a cheaper Xbox Series S has already been leaked through the packaging of the controller in recent weeks but has not yet been officially confirmed.
Microsoft has already announced that the Xbox Series X will be released in November. However, the company has not yet gone into more detail.
- Xbox Series X Release on November 5, 2020
- Xbox Series S Release on November 6, 2020
- Price of the Xbox Series X: €499
- Price of the Xbox Series S: €299
The leaked packaging of the Xbox Series S/X controller also points to a release on November 6. There was a sticker on the box with the information not to sell the new controller before that date.
Xbox Series X may launch on November 6th. A tipster tells me boxes of the new controllers have a do not open date of November 6th on them. These controllers leaked earlier this week https://t.co/oyhlbg2SKo pic.twitter.com/dq096shN7L

How Reliable Is the New Leak?
A leak remains a leak. The information provided by industry insider Serrano should therefore be treated with caution. In the past, he was already right about the PS5 unveiling in July and announced the State of Play on August 6 long before Sony.
On the other hand, the leaker was already wrong, when he predicted that the price of the PS5 will be revealed in mid-July. We have to be patient until the official confirmation by Sony and Microsoft. But hey the Gamescom 2020 is coming up next week, maybe there will finally be some solid information.
