After Season Zero of the PMWL we can now look forward to PUBG Mobile 1.0. What does the new update bring with it?
Did you follow the PMWL Season Zero as well? The tournament series hit like a bomb. And Tencent is determined to build on that success! In addition to the PUBG Mobile Global Championship, there will be several improvements in graphics and interface. We have summarized the update for your reading pleasure. ENJOY!
Quality of Life Improvements
Improvements have been made to players' characters, including the lights in the lobby and iconic environments. Particles, smoke, airstrikes, muzzle flashes, and zooming with the scope make every shot more realistic. Skydiving, sprinting, throwing and other actions have also been optimized for more immersive combat experience. Now you can dominate in Mobile HD!
In addition, the texture quality on all maps has been increased so that the vegetation, sky and especially water look more realistic - if your phone can handle it and your battery doesn't melt in your hand.
All in all, these extensive changes are designed to make the experience more immersive. If Tencent would put this much love into the PC version too, then PUBG could make a comeback.
New User Interface
As if the various graphics updates weren't reason enough to play PUBG Mobile, the controls are also being reworked. The quality of pictures, movements, and sound effects has been improved. This should give the players a more concise and intuitive control experience as they battle to be the last Unknown-player standing.
Global Championship feat. $2 Million Prize Pool
"We would like to thank each and every one of our players for accompanying us on our way to the launch of 1.0. Throughout the design and development process, we have been persistent in our efforts to maintain the iconic PUBG MOBILE IP and style while continuing to innovate to deliver the ultimate mobile device experience." - PUBG Mobile
Tencent and PUBG Mobile are serious about improving PUBG Mobile but also the confirmation of the PUBG Mobile Global Championship. You can enjoy the new graphics and improved gameplay on September 8. In November, the season will start and the pros will fight for $2 million. This is the largest prize pool for PUBG Mobile to date.
So get ready for PUBG Mobile 1.0 and a new era of mobile esports. Maybe you and your team will qualify for the playoffs?
