Rocket League and Nike don't actually have that much in common, but they are still working together thanks to the World Cup in Qatar. Nike FC Cup celebrates the beautiful sport of football – you can even represent your country, earn points and unlock some brand-new items. Or just grab the bundles from the item shop.
The RLCS World Championship may have been over for some time, but now another World Cup is being celebrated – this time, we forget about cars and only focus on football. Together with Nike, Psyonix has come up with a lot of new content that will make the next few weeks until the new season begins more bearable.
You can look forward to a pretty large “tournament” with prizes, awesome bundles in the item shop and even a new game mode that completely turns the rules of Rocket League Arena upside down!
Nike FC Cup In Rocket League: Rewards And How To Play
The Nike FC Cup is actually like the World Cup in Qatar... only in Rocket League and you can participate, too. If you want to represent your own country, you need to register on the official Fan Clash website.
Once you've done step 1, it is a matter of grinding a lot of Rocket League and earning points. Not only do victories count, but also all saves, goals or assists you'll make along the way. If you've played really well in the Nike FC Cup and managed to finish on a decent rank, some sweet rewards are waiting for you. The better your place on the leaderboard, the more rewards you get:

New Nike And CR7 Items In The Rocket League Shop
On the other hand, if you want to chill and just get your rewards from the item shop, you can look forward to several bundles. With the start of the collaboration between Nike and Rocket League, three new Decals inspired by famous Nike shoes are coming to the game.
Everyone knows Nike Phantom GT, Nike Tiempo and especially Nike Air Zoom Mercurial – now even your Fennec, Octane or Dominus car type can wear them with style. These items are either available individually or can be purchased together with the "Nike FC 2022" goal explosion – as a bundle it costs a whooping 1,100 RL credits.
We promised multiple bundles, so we deliver multiple bundles... SIUUUUUUUUUU. Cristiano Ronaldo (CR7) is arguably the most famous footballer in the world and comes to Rocket League in his own unique way. The Nike CR7 package includes a Decal as well as a Player Banner – you have to pay 300 RL credits to use those items in-game.
To be honest, we really did look forward to a SIUUUUUUUUUUUUU quick chat command.
But all this was just the beginning. The OG Ronaldo from Brazil will also get some unique items in Rocket League. Not right now, however, because Psyonix has decided on two separate release dates for the bundles...
Release Dates For Phase 1 And 2
Everything we've described so far will be released in Rocket League around the same time. The individual challenges and the items in the shop are live between November 17 and December 6. For the Nike FC Cup, though, you have to remember the following date:
- Fan Clash: Nike FC Cup (November 17 to 30)
Exclusive New Game Mode: Nike FC Showdown
Finally, we got another new game mode. The Nike FC Showdown pits two teams of four against each other. What's so special about it, though? A few modified Mutator Settings and a newly-designed ball that allows for extremely high speed plays and bounces differently than you are used to. From November 30 to December 14, this fun looking mode is live in Rocket League. Are you already looking forward to dominate your opponents?
