In two separate regionals, Team Queso and FURIA have both reached the required number of circuit points to launch them into the RLCS 2021-22 Winter Majors in Los Angeles.
The last week has been busy for the Rocket League Championship Series, with European and South American regional events sending several teams to the Winter Majors of RLCS 2021-22. The Majors are set to take place later in March, and will be the first crowd-attended LAN event that the RLCS has undertaken since Covid-19 surfaced in early 2020.
These two teams have launched themselves to the top of the leaderboards, with Queso mastering a Bracket Reset and FURIA beating out ERA in the Grand Finals of the recent South America Regional 3. The latter win was especially impressive, with FURIA beating Era twice, both in the Upper Bracket Final and in the Grand Final, both 4-1 in FURIA's favour.
Both Team Queso and FURIA have defeated the assertions by various pundits that their teams wouldn't make it as far as they have. Team Queso has had an especially impressive RLCS 2021-22, after they returned alongside Wildcard Gaming to the Championships. There's a lot to see, so let's stop delaying and take a look at both separately.
Team Queso Beat Endpoint for the RLCS Winter Majors
In a tense series of matches against Team Endpoint, Queso masterfully dismantled their opposition in the Grand Final. The Copa de Rocket League RLCS Regional Event saw a lot of great plays, but few were better than those performed by Team Queso, a European team made up of Joe "Joyo" Young, Finlay "rise." Ferguson and Axel "Vatira" Touret.
It was Vatira who scored the critical goal that sent them to the majors, and he must be commended for some pretty special plays in this series of high-intensity games. In the end it was a best-of-seven series of matches, all of which ended up being used before we finally found a winner.
The Bracket Reset has been completed, @TeamQuesoGG are the winners of #RLCS Copa de Rocket League! Queso wins their second regional of the Winter Split. They go to Los Angeles next month as the #1 Seed from Europe! @Joyokamii @riseRL_ @Vatira5

FURIA Heading To LA After Beating ERA In SA Regional #3
FURIA, a South American Rocket League Team made up of Gabriel "caard" Vieira, Caio "CaioTG1" Vinicius and Yan "yanxnz" Xisto Nolasco, scored big in the final South American Regional of the RLCS 2021-22 Winter Split. Beating ERA in both the Upper Bracket Final and Grand Final was no mean fit, it was impressive to watch.
With both FURIA and Team Queso heading to Los Angeles later this month for an historical RLCS 2021-22 Winter Split Major, everyone is wondering whether the two teams will end up facing off against each other for that coveted Major Cup. We look forward to these games, they're going to be tense as fork! Until next time...
