The Rocket League Championship Series is here for the Winter Split Major, and is returning to in-person fan-attended events in California. This Major will be an historic event, as it will be the first time since the pandemic began in early 2020 that we will see the return of in-person attending fans at a live RLCS event. In fact, this will be the first time since the Season 8 Rocket League World Championship – in December 2019 – that we will see the return of fans to the theatre.
That's one of the many reasons we decided to put this little article together, the other being that we wanted to give you a place that you can come to where you will find all of the relevant information that you'll want to be aware of when it comes to the RLCS 2021-22 Winter Majors. Tickets Available for RLCS 2021-22 Winter Split Major Live Audience
Tickets have finally been released for the RLCS 2021-22 Winter Split Major Live Audience (explained in full below). RLCS tickets became available on Friday, February 11 at 10AM PT (6PM UTC) and are available on Ticketmaster. Seating for both Plaza and Balcony audiences will be priced at $50.75 USD, including all fees, and Orchestra seating will cost $70.55 USD. There are only limited seats available, so you better get in quick if you want tickets.

Now, as of writing (so February 1, 2022!), only a little is known about the Winter Split Majors. Thus, we're going to first take a look at the newly-released trailer, before diving into the details of the event itself. Over the last few weeks we saw some pretty solid successes from the likes of The General NRG and Spacestation Gaming, but also a bunch of pretty fantastic plays from other teams. RLCS 2021-22 Winter Split Major Details
Following is a selection of information that determine not only when and where the Winter Split Major will be, but also whether it will be safe to attend. Here's absolutely everything that you need to know.
When is the RLCS 2021-22 Winter Split Major?
The RLCS 2021-22 Winter Split Major will take place between the dates of March 23 and March 27. This includes two different sections, the latter of which will be held in-person, with a live audience. You will need to purchase tickets to attend in-person (details below), and about 5000-5500 people will be able to attend. The specifics of the RLCS 2021-22 Winter Split Major's schedule is detailed below.
Where will the RLCS 2021-22 Winter Split Major Take Place?
The RLCS 2021-22 Winter Split Major will take place in-person at the YouTube Theatre in downtown Inglewood, Los Angeles. You can find more details regarding the theatre itself on their website, but we also want to make it very clear that about 5000-5500 people will be able to purchase tickets, that they are paid-tickets, and that they will be sold via Ticketmaster.
This is also only applicable to the second, Playoff Bracket portion of the RLCS 2021-22 Winter Major. This will run from March 26 until March 27 and tickets will be applicable to both days. In addition, fans can also stream the competition (including the first two days) on various streaming services that are yet to be announced. Will the RLCS 2021-22 Winter Split Major be Covid-Safe?
Rocket League Esports have clarified that they take the safety of all attendees very seriously, clarifying that all people who attend the RLCS 2021-22 Winter Split Major at the YouTube Theatre will be required to show proof of full vaccination or a negative Covid-19 Test. The latter mentioned test needs to either be a PCR test taken within 48-hours of the event, or a antigen test taken within 24 hours of the event.
