After one hell of a finale, Netflix couldn't leave fans hanging – Ginny & Georgia has been renewed not only for season 3, but also a fourth one! We've got everything you need to know about the show, including the expected release date, returning cast and even more.
Girls being girls: Ginny & Georgia takes a mother-and-daughter relationship, dials it up to 11, sprinkles some really bad life choices in there and follows it up with even more drama with people outside the family. And, good news: of course, the finale of the second season isn't where the story ends. Ginny & Georgia has been renewed not only for season 3, but season 4 as well!
That was to be expected, considering how the last season ended – lots of stuff to unpack there. Here's when we expect Ginny & Georgia to resolve this load of issues going on, who's going to return for season 3 and everything else you could possibly need to know. Be aware of spoilers, though, if you haven't caught up yet!
When Will Ginny & Georgia Season 3 Come Out?
The announcement of the upcoming third season did elevate fans from the fear of having another show canceled on a cliffhanger, but now, it's time to be patient. Netflix has not yet announced an official release date.

Still, we can make an educated guess on when Ginny & Georgia's third season could hit the streaming service. While the writer's strike may have delayed production, creator Sarah Lampert has shared in an interview with Deadline that season 3 would be a "wild ride" shortly after the second season premiered.
At that point, Ginny & Georgia hadn't even been renewed yet, but the storyline was already being planned out, it seems. Here's hoping the strike didn't have that much of an impact on Ginny & Georgia. If that's the case, our guess is that season 3 could release on Netflix in early 2025 – that would match up with the previous release schedule of two years between seasons as well.
In terms of season 4, we're hopeful the waiting period won't be too long. Chances are that season 3 and 4 are being filmed back-to-back for various reasons, like the cast not growing too old in between shooting seasons and not passing as teens anymore. Meaning: season 4 could hit as soon as 2026, in our opinion.
Who Returns In Season 3 Of Ginny & Georgia?
Ginny & Georgia wouldn't be Ginny & Georgia without... well, those two. So, mother and daughter will obviously return and Brianne Howey (Georgia) and Antonia Gentry (Ginny) are both getting ready for another two seasons.
It's pretty likely most of the (pretty big) cast will reprise their roles, including Diesel La Torraca as Austin, Sara Waisglass as Max, Scott Porter as Paul, Jennifer Robertson as Ellen and Felix Mallard as her son Marcus. Chances are the rest of gang will join in on the fun again, including:

You get the idea – no reason for them not to return! Most of them got a load of issues to tackle in the upcoming season, so they better get ready for some tough situations.
What To Expect From Ginny & Georgia Season 3
I'll catch you up – it's been some time since the second season hit Netflix, after all. And let's be honest, there have been so many storylines to follow, I don't even blame you for forgetting half of it. So, here's a a recap of everything that needs to be tackled in the third season. Spoiler warning!
Let's address the elephant in the room: Georgia's wedding didn't turn out to be the happiest day in her life, instead she got arrested for Tom's death – how she's the number one suspect for a dude who has been deadly sick anyway remains to be seen. Chances are someone has ratted her out – looking at you, Nick – and landed her in jail. That's gonna be a huge one to deal with in season 3.
Everyone has to cope with the aftermath of the wedding, but especially how Austin deals with his mother's arrest will most likely be a thing in the upcoming season. Luckily for him, Ginny might have some tips for him in that regard. Mental health in general is going to be a topic again, for sure.
And, of course, there's all the love stories: Ginny and Marcus, Georgia and Joe, Georgia and Paul (imagine getting married and your spouse getting arrested before you even make it home), Abby's historically poor choices when it comes to dating, Max and Silver... You get the picture.
