T1 was the first team to sign a Valorant pro player. Now the Korean organization completes its roster with ex-pro CS:GO player Tyler "Skadoodle" Latham.
Valorant is no longer in closed beta and we’ll probably see a whole lot of tournaments in the upcoming months. At least that’s what everyone’s hoping for. The South Korean T1 was bold enough to make the initial step in signing a Valorant pro. Their first player was Braxton "Brax" Pierce. Brax had a CS:GO background but couldn’t participate in any Valve events due to alleged match-fixing and a resulting ban.

Yesterday T1 completed their Valorant line up with another ex-CS:GO pro - Tyler "Skadoodle" Latham. Skadoodle last played for Cloud9 in 2018 and has since then retired from the title. About two years later he returns in Riot’s newly found competitive game which is a direct rival of CS:GO.
Beyond excited to compete again, I'm very thankful for the opportunity and to pursue my passion once again makes me incredibly happy. https://t.co/t4BKtTpLAf

T1 also added an official introduction video for their newest member on the team’s YouTube channel.
With Skadoodle joining in, T1’s squad is completed. The full roster of T1’s Valorant team is as follows:
- Braxton "brax" Pierce
- Keven "AZK" Larivière
- Austin "crashies" Roberts
- Victor "food" Wong
- Tyler "Skadoodle" Latham
- Daniel "fRoD" Montaner (coach)
Skadoodle, brax, and AZK are no strangers as the trio has played competitively CS:GO in the past. The team which combined all three was Team iBUYPOWER where they played from roughly the end of 2013 to 2015. There’s no doubt that their past experience playing together will be a plus for Valorant. Skadoodle has played extensively throughout the closed beta of Valorant and even participated in some of the tournaments. Teaming up with AZK, brax Spencer “Hiko” Martin and Michael “shroud” Grzesiek he managed to take first place at the 100 Thieves Valorant Invitational. The competition there consisted of content creators, streamers, and other pro players so it was mostly people with prior competitive experience.
T1 is already one of the most well-known teams in Riot’s other title – League of Legends. Whether they’ll have the same success in the brand-new tactical shooter remains to be seen. Stay tuned for more Valorant news and make sure to check out EarlyGame for more content.
