One of the biggest esports organizations in the world might soon join competitive Valorant. Expect an announcement by Team Liquid soon.
Valorant is doing surprisingly well for a game that has been released less than two months ago. Shortly after the official launch of the game on June 2, Riot Games kickstarted the Valorant Ignition Series. The competitive series of tournaments span across the globe and more organizations are jumping on board.
Team Liquid in Valorant
The latest team to join the Valorant competitive scene is rumored to be Team Liquid. The famous organization was formed back in the year 2000 as a BroodWar clan. Over the years new titles were added to the repertoire, most notably divisions in Dota 2, CS:GO and League of Legends. The team managed to win The International 2017, grabbing over $10,000,000 in prize money. Now Liquid plan to expandeven further into Riot’s new tactical shooter – Valorant. According to a recent report by the French site 1pv, the team fish123 and Adil "ScreaM" Benrlitom might soon get signed by Team Liquid. Team fish123 are arguably one of the best in Europe, as they showed decent results in more than one event. One of their members, Ardis "ardiis" Svarenieks was signed by G2 esports last month and this left the remaining four players without a fifth:
- Adam " ec1s " Eccles
- Dom " soulcas " Sulcas
- James " Kryptix " Affleck
- Travis " L1NK " Mendoza
ScreaM will be the one to complete the roster. The Belgian CS:GO players has played for various esports organizations, but will now be switching to Valorant. His skills will no doubt give the rest of the team an edge over their opponents.

The UK stack is set to play in the upcoming WePlay! Valorant Invitational (part of the Valorant Ignition Series) which is set to begin tomorrow, July 15. The event will offer $50,000 in prize money and the competition will be fierce. The full list of teams for the tournament is as follows:
- G2 Esports
- Ninjas in Pyjamas
- forZe
- Prodigy
- fish123
- PartyParrots
- need more DMG
- TBD
With G2, NiP, Prodigy, and forZe, this event will hardly be a walk in the park for fish123. Whether the team will change their banner to Liquid remains to be seen. Up until now, G2 looked like the dominant team in Europe, but maybe that’s about to change soon. What do you think? Will the future Team Liquid surpass its rivals in Valorant?
