Riot Games just revealed another agent for their upcoming shooter and this time it’s Jett. We’ve seen the character pop up on many of the Valorant promos, but this is the first time we witness the full extent of her abilities.

We’ve had four reveals of agents so far, in order of appearance they are – Phoenix, Viper, Sova, Sage. Jett is the fifth and there’s plenty more to come, as Riot announced that there will be 10 agents at launch and we saw a total of 9 in a recently leaked video. Only five will be directly available to play when you install the game, with the remaining five being unlocked as you progress. We can only assume that the five we already know will be free to play, but things could turn otherwise.

Some of the agents we’ve seen appear to be tied to a certain theme – Phoenix with fire and Viper with poison. This seems to also be the case with Jett whose element is wind.

Her mobility is unmatched by anything else we’ve seen and she’s definitely going to be hard to focus on. Below you can also find her full list of abilities.

  • Cloudburst: Instantly throw your projectile that expands into a brief vision-blocking cloud on impact with a surface. Hold the ability key to curve the smoke in the direction of your crosshair.
  • Updraft: Instantly propel Jett high into the air.
  • Signature Ability – Tailwind: Instantly propel Jett in the direction she is moving. If Jett is standing still, she will propel forward.
  • Ultimate Ability – Blade Storm: Equip a set of highly accurate throwing knives that recharge on killing an opponent. Fire to throw a single knife at your target. Alternate fire to throw all remaining daggers at your target.

In the trailer above we see her use Cloudburst, Updraft, and Tailwind. Her ultimate was shown previously in other gameplay reveal videos we’ve seen in the past. Jett is going to be an offensive pick, as she’ll be able to quickly move around the map and take hold of crucial vantage points. Based on the description Blade Storm won’t allow her to shoot and throw knives at the same time. Getting a reset on the daggers after scoring a kill seems a bit too good, but only time will tell.

Valorant is scheduled to release in the summer but the game already has a planned start for its closed beta this Tuesday, April 7. If you want to get a key beforehand, make sure to connect your Riot and Twitch accounts and watch eligible streamers for a chance to earn a spot in the beta.
