The 12th Valorant Agent goes by the name of Killjoy. After yesterday's leak, the new character for Riot's shooter hit becomes a little more concrete, because the abilities are already known.
First the Easter egg, then the Leaks. The next Valorant Agent goes by the name of Killjoy and apparently has a preference for gun turrets. Here's everything we know about Killjoy, who's likely to be involved with Valorant Act 2.
Everything We Know About Valorant Agent Killjoy
Valorant fans have been eagerly awaiting the release of the 12th agent for a while now. Voice lines, animations, and the Easter egg found yesterday pointed to the agent from Germany. Thanks to a meanwhile deleted info page on the official Valorant website we now know more.
The page titled "Enter Killjoy" told us about the abilities of agent number 12 and offered space for some YouTube videos - which were still missing, though. On the page Killjoy spoke out and the text said:
OK Brimstone, I read your Beginner's Guide. Maybe too long. All you needed to say was - have me on your team!
Killjoy's Abilities
Killjoy seems to be a classic, gun-using FPS character. About comparable to Torbjörn from Overwatch. Only a bit bigger and obviously not as bearded - a pity.
The agent has several abilities that lays out traps and weapons - including a powerful turret, which can cover 180 degrees, an "alarm bot", a nano grenade and that insane ultimate. Without further ado let's take a look.
A first look at all of Killjoy's abilities in #VALORANT has been leaked!- Alarmbot- Turret- Nanoswarm- Lockdown (Ultimate) or ?https://t.co/UDosVNAB7m

Skill 1 (C) - Alarm Bot
Equip a bot that chases nearby enemies that come into range.
When your killer robot friend reaches his target, things go boom. Alert bot not only deals damage, for a short time the target suffers double the damage from any source. Press and hold the button to retrieve the sent bot.
Ability 2 (Q) - Turret
Sometimes it's good to plant some roots. Set up a turret that targets enemies in a 180-degree radius. Hold the button down to dismantle the gun. The turret can be used to hold an area pretty well on its own while your teammates cover and protect other areas.
Signature ability (E) - Nanoswarm
Throw a grenade. When it lands, it'll be quiet. You can then manually activate the Nanoswarm (much like Cypher's cage) to release a harmful swarm of Nanobots and marvel at the crying enemies. Brilliant trick! It also reveals the enemy's position to your teammates.
Ultimate (X) - Lockdown
Killjoy's ultimate is really something unsee. Lockdown deploys a device that starts to channel and enemies can destroy it during that time. If they fail to do so, the consequences are nasty. Once activated anyone caught in the blast will be slowed to almost a standstill and unable to shoot or use abilities. We can only imagine how effective this will be for holding a site.
Sounds pretty interesting for our taste. It's still unclear when Killjoy will be entering the Valorant roster, but since some footage already made it into the social media, it probably won't be too long now. Our best bet is August 4.
