Riot Games have released a new hotfix for the closed beta of Valorant. The small update fixes the serious bug with agent Cypher and some other problems. The update is already available in Europe, but players from North America will have to wait until tonight to get the goods.
Valorant Beta Hotfix released
Bye, spycam bug! This Valorant update takes care of the game-breaking issue with Cypher almost immediately after it was raised by the community. Riot Games are proving their worth once again by reacting lightning fast to the problem.
The new hotfix for the Valorant Beta takes care of some bugs and problems of the Free2Play shooter. Only yesterday a serious bug was discovered – agent Cypher’s spycam was causing huge damage to opponents instead of simply revealing their movement, which was the original intent.

Former PUBG pro Mike "sharky" Garit brought the attention onto the game breaker after accidentally coming across it during his live stream. Just hours later Riot Games have patched it out of Valorant and Cypher is back to his original form.
Here are the full patch notes of the new update for the Valorant Closed Beta:
- Cypher's camera wa made less lethal under certain… circumstances.
- Patched a number of map exploits
- Fixed audio dropping after consecutive matches
The beta update will be downloaded automatically once you load the game again. At least if you’re situated in Europe, because there will be a several hour delay before the changes are implemented in North America.
