The Valorant Ignition Series is still going in full swing as another event is about to start tomorrow. This time it’s the North American Valorant Pop Flash.

The next Valorant event is the Pop Flash where the best teams from North America will clash yet again. Organized by B Site Inc. and FACEIT the tournament will feature a total of eight teams and a prize pool of $50,000. Let’s take a look at the participants!

The Teams

Each of the eight teams received a direct invitation for the tournament so we won’t be seeing any underdogs. Just major organizations from the region. Here’s the full list:

  • Team SoloMid
  • T1
  • Sentinels
  • Cloud9
  • Gen.G Esports
  • Team Envy
  • Immortals
  • Dignitas

We have the usual suspects that will probably be competing for the first spot, namely TSM, Sentinels, Cloud9, and Gen.G. It’d be nice to add T1 to that list as well but the team made some recent roster changes. Tyler "Skadoodle" Latham got benched and he won’t be playing with the team in the near future. His spot will most likely be filled by the team’s coach Daniel "fRoD" Montaner. T1 also played without Skadoodle during the Pittsburgh Knights Invitational Gauntlet Series and they placed 9th-12th there.

Out of the remaining teams in Pop Flash the most interesting one by far is Dignitas. They announced an all-female roster back in the middle of May and so far they’ve attended five events. Their highest placement was second place in the ANEW Valorant Women's Open. That’s also the last time played in an official event. The female squad isn’t the one coming to Pop Flash though, as Dignitas signed a whole new team just recently.

The squad currently consists of:

  • Rory "dephh" Jackson
  • Harrison "psalm" Chang
  • Kevin "poised" Ngo
  • Phat "supamen" Le

Technically they’re still missing a fifth and it’s unknown who’ll fill in for the event. This will be the team’s first official tournament and we can only wish them the best as it won't be easy.

Pop Flash Format

The event will start with a group stage where the eight teams will be split into groups of four. The top two teams from each group will advance into the playoffs while the bottom two will get eliminated. The playoffs will feature a double-elimination bracket with all matches being Bo3s.Pop Flash will kick off tomorrow August 26 and conclude on August 30 (Sunday). Feel free to check out the two official streams. There’s one by Flashpoint and the official Valorant Twitch channel. Who are you rooting for? Share your favorite team on our Facebook page!
