Starting next week, twelve teams from Europe, CIS, and Turkey will compete for their slot at the Valorant Masters: Berlin tournament.Who among them will get a chance to become the next world champion?

The EMEA Challenger Playoffs will be the final test before the Masters: Berlin for the best teams from the EU region. Starting with the NaVi vs. Team Liquid match on August 12, the battle for a spot at one of the most important tournaments of the year. In this article, you will find everything you need to know about this tournament — where to watch, what the prize pool is, and what matches to expect.

EMEA Challenger Playoffs: Teams

Let's start with the list of teams that managed to qualify for the EMEA Challenger Playoffs. It will be 12 teams, which you are undoubtedly familiar with if you are into Valorant eSports.

Europe

EMEA Challengers Playoffs: Tournament Format and Brackets

EMEA Playoffs will be held in Double Elimination Bracket format, so even if your favorite team loses a single match, they still have a chance to win the entire tournament (although their path to that will be much longer). The four teams with the highest seeding got a BYE in the first round, which automatically throws them into the quarterfinals; those teams are Acend, Gambit Esports, SuperMassive Blaze, and G2 Esports. EMEA Challengers Playoffs: Prize Pool

The prize pool for the EMEA Challengers Playoffs will be €85,000. In addition to the prize money, the top 4 teams will receive slots for the Masters: Berlin, which will likely have a prize pool of around half a million dollars. We also can't forget about VCT Circuit Points, which are the primary determinant of standings in each region. Although the top 4 teams don't get any VCT Points, they will get at least 175 at Masters: Berlin alone. The prize distribution looks as follows:

  • 1st place — €32,500 + seed at Masters: Berlin
  • 2nd place — €15,500 + seed at Masters: Berlin
  • 3rd place — €10,000 + seed at Masters: Berlin
  • 4th place — €7,500 + seed at Masters: Berlin
  • 5th/6th place — €4,500 + 50 VCT Points
  • 7th/8th place — €2,500 + 40 VCT Points
  • 9th-12th place — €1,500 + 30 VCT Points

EMEA Challengers Playoffs: Broadcast

The official broadcast of the tournament will take place on four different channels on Twitch. As some matches will be taking place simultaneously, you have the option to choose which one you want to watch.
