Valorant is over half a year old and we saw many big esports organizations join its competitive scene. The most recent one to do so is Fnatic.
Fnatic is without a doubt one of the most iconic esports organizations in the world. With teams in some of the most popular titles like CS:GO, LoL, Dota 2 it was only natural before they decided to join Valorant. Riot’s tactical shooter turned out to be a total hit, attracting numerous pro players from other games and organizations building their own roster for the 2021 season.
Yesterday, Fnatic revealed their full Valorant roster and left many of us wondering why they took so long. Instead of building their own team, Fnatic chose the rather familiar approach of signing an already existing team.

The London-based organization signed over the SUMN FC Valorant roster which consists of:
- Jake “Boaster” Howlett
- Domagoj “Doma” Fancev
- James “Mistic” Orfila
- Muhammad “Moe40” Hariff
- Kostas “tsack” Theodoropoulos
The latter is also based in the UK so it made perfect sense. When it comes to results, SUMN FC was not lacking. They surprised most fans at the First Strike Europe finals where the team took second place, losing only to Heretics. In the recent Red Bull Home Ground they placed 3rd-4th. They were one of the hottest free agent stacks in the European Valorant scene with a total of 5 grand finals and one title.

It’s been the number one thing fans have been asking for since the game launched, and we’ve taken our time to identify a roster that fits our vision of competing for the top titles in every game we enter.With our record of success in FPS games such as Counter-Strike, we’re looking forward to writing this new chapter in Fnatic’s history, and building our legacy in a new title.
VALORANT Team Director Colin Johnson added:
This group of players have more than proven their talent in recent months, holding their own against the European elite in every tournament they compete in, without the support of a salary or organisation. With the help of Fnatic and our High Performance Unit, we want to push them to reach that next level and win every tournament they compete in.
