League of Legends champion designer August who made some of the most beloved heroes in Riot's MOBA revealed that he's officially working on a new Valorant agent.
Good news for all League of Legends fans that are also playing Valorant: August Browning better known as RiotAugust announced that he'd be working with the Valorant design team on a new agent in the tactical shooter.
Excited to say that I'll be joining the @PlayVALORANT team part-time to help design a new agent! Have loved the character design in VAL and getting the opportunity to work on one myself is Time to start begging my new teammates to teach me how to aim . pic.twitter.com/uYF9sPGwqr

Who is RiotAugust?
August Browning hails from Alaska, and he joined Riot Games all the way back in 2012. League of Legends was only three years old back then, and it didn't have a lot of champions, but that's where August stepped in. He is one of the more celebrated League of Legends designers as the champions he crafted are all quite interesting and multi-layered, not to mention, fairly balanced. He designed the following champions:
- Vi, the Piltover Enforcer
- Jinx, the Loose Cannon
- Gnar, the Missing Link
- Ekko, the Boy Who Shattered Time
- Jhin, the Virtuoso
- Senna, the Redeemer Senna
- Viego, the Ruined King
#2012vs2018 I used to be happy, then I made 5 champions and worked on Rengar. pic.twitter.com/EGyCLpXJrl

August also took part in the rework of several other LoL champions - Kayle, Morgana, Rengar, Wukong. LoL fans are already joking that the new Valorant agent will have a three-hit passive, a common mechanic in the MOBA.

What's the Release Date For the Next Valorant Agent?
In the tweet, August mentioned that he'll be working on a new agent, but it's probably not going to be the next one. Unlike previous agents, there isn't a lot of information about Valorant's agent 16. All we know is that the release date should be April 21 when Riot are set to release Episode 2 Act 3. In addition, we also have a good idea of the new map in Valorant. The last two agents were a Controller and a Duelist, so there's a high chance we'll see an Initiator or a Sentinel next.
