According to unconfirmed information, the North American esports organization Sentinels has officially purchased Tyson "TenZ" Ngo's contract from Cloud9 for over $1 million. With that, the transfer of the player is officially complete!

The Valorant Stage 2 Masters Reykjavik was the biggest tournament in Valorant's competitive scene we've seen so far. The North American Sentinels took first place and had a perfect run throughout the event, not losing even a single map. This not only solidified NA as the dominant region in Valorant esports, but also guaranteed the team a spot at the Valorant Champions at the end of the year. Tyson "TenZ" Ngo played a major role in the team's success during Reykjavik, and it seems Sentinels want him as a permanent member of their squad.

Sentinels Buy TenZ’s Contract From Cloud9

TenZ was originally loaned by Cloud9 to Sentinels on March 11, so that they could fill the gap after Jay "sinatraa" Won got suspended over sexual allegations. Sinatraa was banned by Riot Games for six months and Tyson had to fill his shoes. Allegedly, TenZ became an official member of the Sentinels Valorant team, as today the organization bought his contract from Cloud9.

Back in April, when the initial contract between the two orgs was signed, it also included an option for Sentinels to purchase the player. It seems they chose to capitalize on that. There's still no official confirmation of this, so take it with a grain of salt and stay tuned for an update. Considering Sentinels just won the biggest Valorant tournament with Ngo, it only makes sense that they'll try to keep him as a permanent addition to the team.

Together with TenZ, Sentinels took first place in the NA Masters 1, the NA Stage 2 Challengers Finals, and the Stage 2 Masters Reykjavik. According to rumors, Sentinels paid a seven-figure sum for TenZ, but something tells us that will be well worth it in the long run. There's just one question - what happens with sinatraa?
