The Valorant pro scene keeps expanding to new horizons and all-female rosters aren't something new. Yesterday Team SoloMid announced their female Valorant team, and we'll soon see them in action.
Almost a month ago, Riot Games announced that they'll be creating new opportunities for women and other marginalized genders in the Valorant scene with the Valorant Champions Tour Game Changers. Unsurprisingly, big organizations in the Valorant scene are already revealing their all-female teams.
THE HUNT BEGINS We're incredibly excited to introduce to you our newest Valorant team. Welcome to #TSM.- @CAthCSGO - @athxna - @lunarkats - @Zoessielol - @mleQT_ pic.twitter.com/bg87LJWPiE

TSM isn't the first and probably won't be the last major org to do so. Team SoloMid's female Valorant roster consists of some former CS:GO pro players:
- Catherine "Cath" Leroux"
- Katherine “LunarKats” So
- Emily “mle” Peters
- Zoe “Zoe” Servais
- Mirna “Athxna” Noureldin
TSM CEO and founder Andy “Reginald” Dinh commented:
This team represents the core values of TSM. We wanted the best players to build out our competitive VALORANT presence - and we found them. Cath is a veteran leader who has shown clear dominance in various matches since 2017. Athxna shows real prowess as an in-game leader, and with the raw skill that LunarKats, mle, and Zoe possess, I see huge potential for this team.
The team's captain, Cath, added:
I'm beyond excited to join a well-established organization like TSM and bring my previous experience from CSGO into a fresh game like Valorant. My competitive drive never left, and I'm looking forward to competing again under the TSM banner.
TSM's female Valorant squad will face their first challenge tomorrow, March 19, at the VCT Game Changers NA Series 1 open qualifier. You can catch a live stream on the official Valorant NA Twitch channel.

Earlier this week we also saw Counter Logic Gaming Red with a similar announcement. Unlike TSM, CLG Red's team is far from complete as the only member so far is Benita “bENITA” Novshadian, another player with a CS:GO background.
March 22 Update
LunarKats leaves TSM
Over the weekend TSM revealed that LunarKats is no longer part of their all-female Valorant team.
Today we've agreed to mutually part ways with LunarKats. We're currently looking for a sub to avoid having to pull out of the VCT Game Changers Series.

No official reason was given but many fans suspect it might be related to a harassment claim by another streamer.

Whether the rumors are correct remains to be seen but for now, TSM are looking for a final fifth player to complete their female Valorant roster. Who'll they pick?

Other major organizations such as Cloud9 and Dignitas already have a female roster and we'll probably see them along with CLG Red and TSM in the upcoming event. Are you excited about Game Changers? Tell us on Facebook or Twitter!
