The VCT Team Standings before Reykjavik
Stage 2 Masters Reykjavik is the second Masters tournament for this year. The third and final one is set to take place in Berlin, Germany this September. In order to make it to the biggest Valorant tournament of 2021 (Valorant Champions) teams will have a couple of options:
- Accumulate enough points to get an automatic invitation to Champions
- Win the Stage 3 Masters Berlin
- Qualify through the Last Chance Qualifier in October
Most teams are aiming to make it through the first one by simply earning enough Circuit Points throughout the season and skipping all the unnecessary stress further down the line. So what are the current standings? Let's take a look at all the teams that'll be present in Reykjavik and the minimum amount of points they can get from the event.
- Sentinels - 275
- Version1 - 150
- Team Liquid - 175
- Fnatic - 150
- Team Vikings - 250
- Sharks Esports
- Crazy Raccoon - 250
- Nuturn Gaming - 220
- X10 Esports - 250
- KRÜ Esports - 195
Note that the points above are calculated with the minimum amount these teams will get from Stage 2 Masters Reykjavik. Sentinels have the clear lead with 25 points over the next three teams that are tied. A total of 2350 points will be distributed among the teams in Iceland, depending on their final placement:
- 1st - 400
- 2nd - 350
- 3rd - 300
- 4th - 250
- 5th-6th - 200
- 7th-8th - 175
- 9th-10th - 150
Now, if a team like Sentinels that are already in the lead takes first place they'll finish the event with 500 points and that might be enough to guarantee them a direct invite, given they don't stop competing in Stage 3. Note that Sentinels won Masters 1 NA and were awarded 100 points for it. Anything can happen in Reykjavikas teams didn't have to play against rivals from other regions on such a big scale until now.
