The French Coupe de France national tournament has just ended and they've crowned their victors. In a surprising twist of events, the winning team only has one french player and the team won the tournament without picking Chamber at all!
Regional and national tournaments play a pivotal role in the Valorant scene, serving as an essential stepping stone for emerging athletes. While their prize pools and exposure may not match those of VCL/VCT events, the experience gained is invaluable and an important part of the journey to success.
Valorant: Meet Team Valiant
The champions of the Coupe de France are Team Valiant, marking their first-ever event victory since their founding. The team was established earlier this year and has recently entered the competitive Valorant scene. It's made up out of players who have previously competed for EMEA teams, notably KOI and Giants. The French Valorant scene is highly competitive, featuring established teams like Karmine Corp, Team Vitality, and GentleMates. With this victory, Valiant is expected to join the ranks of these top-tier teams in the near future.

Valiant secured their spot in the Coupe De France through the VCL France Split 2, where they finished 5th-6th, earning them a tournament slot. During the Group Stage, they claimed the top spot with a score of 4-1, only losing one series to 3DMAX. This first-place finish in the group propelled them directly to the Playoffs' Semi-Finals, where they ultimately won the trophy. This achievement represents a significant step in the right direction for the team, and hopefully, they can replicate it at the Liquid Open 2023, with the France/Benelux qualifier just around the corner.
